Two Performances Left

Thank you to everyone that attended opening night of "What is Susan's Secret?"  The cast had a blast performing and from the audience's response we believe they had a great time too.  We have two more performances - Saturday, January 28th at 7:30 and Sunday, January 29th at 2:00.  Come out and enjoy this humours show.  Tickets are only $8 for adults and $7 for seniors & students and they are available at the door.

We are in the midst of rehearsals for the Upstage Players' production of "What is Susan's Secret?" by Michael and Susan Parker.   The cast is still laughing at the lines even though they've been in rehearsals for weeks.  It's going to be a fun show!  Show dates are January 27 and 28 at 7:30 and January 29 at 2:00.  Tickets are $8 adults and $7 seniors/students.  They will be available at the door.

Auditions on Tuesday, November 29

Auditions for the Upstage Players winter show "What Is Susan's Secret?" by Michael Parker are this Tuesday (November 29th) at 7pm.  A cast of 6-14 are needed so come out to the Upsala High School auditorium on Tuesday to try out for this show.  No experience necessary!

"What Is Susan's Secret?" by Michael Parker and Susan Parker has been chosen as the opening show for the 2017 season.  Show dates are January 27-29th.  Mark your calendars!  Auditions will be held Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00pm in the Upsala High School auditorium.  A flexible cast of 6-14 actors are needed for this production, so join the fun and audition for this comedy!

Winter Show 2017!

The Upstage Players are in the midst of planning their winter show for 2017!  The production will be the last weekend in January or the first weekend in February or possibly a combination of the two!  Auditions will be held towards the end of November. The Arts Board annual meeting is October 23rd at 4:00 in the Upsala high school commons.  It is open to the public.  We will have our financial review, election of officers (must be a board member), and make final decisions regarding the winter show.  Check back for updates!

Show was Cancelled

The last weekend in July is normally a busy weekend for the Upstage Players as on a normal summer we would be producing our yearly musical.  I am sad to announce that this summer that is not the case.  We did not have enough people audition for the musical we had chosen.  We looked at performing radio shows instead but had issues tracking down who to pay the royalties to.  By this point, there wasn't enough time to  produce a different musical in the standard our audience was accustom to.  Never fear, however, as we are already in the works for the winter production (to be held at the end o

Summer Musical Announced

The summer musical for the Upsala Upstage Players will be "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" based on the novel by John R. Powers.  Music and Lyric by James Quinn and Alaric Jans.  It is a coming of age show that encounters the most entertaining aspects of adolescence.  Why shouldn't girls wear pearl necklaces or black patent leather shoes?  Why aren't there cookie cutters in heaven?  Come and be a part of the show and find out!  Auditions are May 17th at 7:00 pm in the Upsala High School auditorium.  Show dates will be July 29-August 1st.

Auditions Announced!

Dinner Theatre January 2016!

The Upstage Players will be hosting a dinner theatre this January!  They will present "Who Poisoned His Meatball?" by Craig Sodaro (with special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service) on Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23rd.  A show only presentation will take place on Sunday afternoon, January 24th.  All shows will be held in the dinning hall of St.

Mary Poppins Opens Tonight!

Opening night is tonight for the Upstage Players production of Mary Poppins.  Show time is 7:00 pm at the Upsala High School.  The doors open at 6:30.  Can't make it tonight?  We have four shows come to one or all of them!  July 24, 25, and 27 at 7 pm and July 26 at 2.  Tickets are $10 adult and $8 for children (1-18) and seniors (60+).  See you tonight as the Upstage Players sing and dance through this wonderful story of the Banks family and their magical nanny Mary Poppins.
